USA Softball of of Central California Special Heroes Program

Special Heroes Program is a recreational endeavor designed to get persons with a variety of disabilities involved in team sports. We Strive to provide year-round training and athletic competition in softball for children and adults with developmental disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families and the community. We stress the importance of player participation, sportsmanship, safety, and fun.

Our program is funded through donations, sponsorship and grants that go directly to improving the experience that we are able to provide for Special Hero participants. Including, but not limited to, field rentals, equipment purchases, low participant insurance and registration fees. Our grass roots program is supported by many volunteer hours from the local community.
